PosterGarden poses with one of its community partners — Portland Opera

As part of its support of the local arts, culture and garden scene in Portland, PosterGarden regularly makes an appearance at the events of its partner organizations. Sometimes that's in the form of donated displays and graphics that help the partners share their messages. Other times, employees and executives from PosterGarden turn out to show their support.

The latter was the case last week when PosterGarden president Travis Rigby and purchasing manager Neil Rogers headed out for a night at the opera with Portland Opera. The occasion was a production of "Postcard from Morocco," which the opera describes this way:

Seven travelers find themselves waiting together in a train station, each with their own story and luggage. As they describe their belongings to fellow passengers, they begin to unpack their personal secrets. With each revelation, there is a deep exploration of identity and morality that is both delightful and deeply stirring.

After the performance, which Rigby said was "thought provoking" and "a great experience," the cast met with the PosterGarden crew backstage.

"The cast was wonderful and so gracious to take a photo with us," Rigby said. "Portland Opera is a fantastic organization, and we're proud to be a partner."

PosterGarden supports the opera through its PosterGarden Fund for Arts, Culture and Gardens.Established in 2010, the fund helps organizations in the community discover and advance innovative ways of enhancing their development efforts. As community partners, PosterGarden provides opportunities, funding, resources, and encouragement to selected non-profits to strengthen their mission and support their vision.
